WATER IS HEAVY!
Poem by Alison Hedger AHCM321
“Fill this bucket up with water –
Come and help me, little daughter.”
But the bucket filled with water
Was too heavy for my daughter.
Heavy water,
Little daughter:
“Try to carry just a quarter.”
But a quarter of the water
Still was heavy for my daughter!
So instead, I went and brought her
Just a tumbler of clear water.
This she drank,
And said I’d taught her
Just how heavy weighed bright water
